What Sunrise Starts

What Sunrise Starts

The silence now has stretched without a sign,
no word to bridge the dark from here to there,

yet, sunsets don't undo what sunrise starts
the cycle turns and comes back, finally.

For she was always named to bear the night,
to carry through the dark what day departs,
to heal the ones who stood too long in silence

the moon does not go missing from the sky,
it only waits to rise and find your heart.
